Local Update Issue With Derived Part

1.) I have the latest files from Vault, yet I have the "Locate Update" lightning bolt, requesting to update the derived file. Why do I have this?

2.)Vault evidence, I have the latest files:

3.) I click "Local Update" and check out the files and the appearance changes (should be all blue):

4.) Vault evidence that I have the latest files and they are checked out:

My colleague is on Inventor 2022.2 and Vault 2022.2.2 and does not have this issue.

I am on Inventor 2022.2.2 and Vault 2022.2.2.

I will uninstall Inventor 2022.2.2 and see if this fixes the problem.

Thank you community for any help,

-Ethan

Uninstalled Inventor 2022.2.2 and has the same behavior @ 2022.2. No change.
My next steps:
- Update back to Inventor 2022.2.2
- Check-in to the Vault the top-level assembly that this derived part reports to. My guess, is maybe this is causing this behavior and will fix the issue? Once everything is happily in the Vault, all associations will be resolved.
I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks,
-Ethan

The lightning bolt relates to model updates in the file, regardless of Vault. There is nothing in Vault that impacts on this.

Chances are the derived assembly was updated on the original files, and the changes never got absorbed/consumed by the part where the originals are derived into. It is not automatic unless you perform that update.

The appearance changes might be from the Derive feature settings (right-click the node for the derived content and "Edit Derived Part"), if it is using color overrides from the source component or not:

Hi! Gabriel is right. This should be a Derive related behavior. The same option can also be set at Tools -> App Options -> Part. It will persist for any newly created Derive feature until it is unchecked.

Many thanks!
