links to excel files break if excel file is changed/updated

We have been using IV2015 and I am evaluating moving to IV2022.

With IV2022 any parts/assemblies with linked excel files will break if the excel file is modified in any way.

We store files on a NAS drive, mapped to 'P:\'. IV2022 modifies any link from 'P:\CAD\...' to '\\192.168.1.153\storage\CAD\...' (as viewed from the parameters window).

To remove any issue of conflicts between legacy IV, windows or office, I have formatted and reinstalled the OS(using the latest installer from microsoft), IV and Office. After the second re-install, any migrated projects open unbelievably slow. Like 4 hours for an assembly with maybe 100 parts. This slow operation has persisted after a third format and re-install.

The system is new. i7-11400k, 3060Ti with latest studio drivers, 32GB ram. IV2022 is a trial liscence. Windows 10 home.

How can I resolve this issue?

Hi! Is this about poor performance or the link does not update? Regarding the Excel update performance issue, it could be related to an Excel setting.

Start up Excel -> File -> Options -> Add-Ins -> Manage Excel Add-Ins -> select COM Add-Ins from the dropdown list -> Go -> uncheck anything you don't use.

Many thanks!

My main issue is the breaking of links (all my imported parameters showing yellow)

I am not trying to address the performance issue yet, as I think it might be related to a migration corruption. For example, A part from a migrated model that would take +5min to open, I can recreate (use a root or template part, not content center) and the recreated part will open instantly. The only difference is that it is not the previously migrated part. When working on my project(s) with an earlier install, I would occasionally have my system hang for ~1min, then *sometimes* the links would re-connect. It is projects migrated from an earlier inventor 2022 install that are slow to open.

Our developed workflow is very highly dependent on linked spreadsheets. This is the current key issue.
