Large coordinates rendering issue

Hello Autodesk

I have discovered an issue with Inventor  - i build things at real world coordinates.  Inventor has rendering issues with this (see attached screen shot showing wibblywobbly distortion).  Occurrences at X Offset= 30698930.000 cm, Y Offset= 25189040.000 cm

Move the assembly to smaller coordinates and the problem disappears and all is well (see attached screen shot showing normal rendering).  Occurrences at X Offset= 98930.000 cm, Y Offset= 89040.000 cm

I have tested all the usual graphical options in the application options, including turning the hardware graphics off entirely and the problem persists even under software rendering - just slower! - so its not my graphics card.

If you export the model, say to dwfx, and view it via A360 for example, you can see it is rendered perfectly and the geometry is intact despite the large coordinates.  Therefore it is purely a rendering issue with Inventors graphical display engine.

I have replicated the issue in Inventor Professional 2014, 2015 and now 2016.

Please would you log this for a fix please, (and let me know).

Kind regards

Dan

interesting but no it is not the same. you reference to a post which discusses part file max size but suggests/states that assembly space is unlimited. this is true but what I have found is that it is poorly rendered after a certain size!
