Large Assembly control with vault

Please guide me on working on large assemblies in Inventor and check-in into the vault.
It takes half a day to check-in an assembly with more than 30,000 parts into a vault and is a very difficult task.

It should not take that long. I would look at your network traffic and see what's going on there. Even with 30,000 Parts it should be minutes not hours.

Why are you checking out 30k parts at once? You should only check out what you need.

One thing that can speed it up is to send the dwfx creation to the job server instead of doing it locally. This is an option on the check in screen.

Or just disable any dwf creation at all.  Its a Vault Administration option.

Network behavior could also be at issue.

Is the ADMS software installed on a dedicated server?  Is that server IO, memory, or CPU bound?  Is the ADMS server a VM?  Is the host machine oversubscribed?

We don't create dwfx files, so should we create and use dwfx files?

Did you check your check in settings?

DWFx is used by vault to display previews of all your files. Inventor creates these when you check in. I've found this can sometimes be an issue with large files or over VPN so I send them to the job server instead of doing locally.
