IV 2022- Parts List forced to 'Master' State

I search the forum and did not see this topic.

I did a 'save as' from an assembly file from previous version. It had a 'LevelofDetail1'. When I generating a part list in the drawing 'LevelofDetail1' is selected. However, it brings up a prompt stating 'The BOM for this Model State is delegated to Master. Parts list will be created from Master'. Opening the BOM in the ass'y file forces it to 'Master'. Is there a way to make the parts list to model state LevelofDetail1?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Peter,

This behavior is as designed. Likely the assembly was created on 2021 and earlier with custom LODs (non-master). LODd did not alter BOM, while Model States do alter BOM. To preserve the legacy drawings, the migrated LODs in 2022 do not alter BOM (Master only).

In order to enable Model State BOM behavior, you will need to copy the migrated LOD to a new Model State.

Many thanks!
