Issue with derive solids [ipt]

Hello

I have ipt file created by a user and checked into Vault. I am trying to derive solids from the base part file. However, I am unable to deselect Solids to create the part I intend to work on. I am using Windows 11, and Acad Professional 2021. Any thoughts?

That software does not exist.

Inventor Professional 2021 I suspect hehe.

Could you please share the file so that we take a look at it and see what could be going on?

Can you attach the multi-solid part here?  I can't think of a reason that Derive would not allow de-selection of solid bodies.

Hi @ampster40 @SBix26

Please find attached the part. I am not able to deselect Solids in this case.

Change the Design View to Master, or at least deselect Associative.  For me the Derive dialog opens with the Isometric DV selected and the Associative button selected.  I can't select/deselect solid bodies while the Design View is associative, which makes sense.

Yeah as Sam says, this is usually related to the design view. Confused me for a while the last time I looked at it.
