Issue With Copy/Paste in IDW

I am experiencing what seems to be a bug related to the copy/paste text in an idw.  I am using release 2025.1.2.  When I create a text box or leader text and add some text and click OK, everything is fine.  When I go back to edit the text box and try to paste something into it, the paste does not work.  I can copy text from another application other than Inventor and paste into the box without issue.  It is just not working when I copy the text from Inventor and try to paste in an edited text box.  I have attached a video showing my issue.  Has anyone experienced this or give me some idea as to the problem?  We recently updated from 2019 so I am just now experiencing this issue.

I have also included a pack and go of the files.  The file name is 95052-1376-1.idw.  Thanks!

@mechengineer987 Welcome to the forum!

In your video it looks like what you are copying is a symbol, and not text?  How was that symbol generated?  Are you also trying to copy the dimension itself?  Hard to tell since it looks highlighted.

It is a symbol in the video however the same problem exists if I try to copy and paste plain text.  The symbol was generated by originally copying off of a google search from the internet.  We have been using this symbol and this method for quite a while now, probably around 5 years so I cannot remember the exact website.  I am only trying to copy the symbol and not the dimension.

Thanks for taking a look!

Hi! I cannot seem to reproduce the behavior on my machine. It could be related to the display. If you are using dual monitors, please make sure the one hosting Inventor is the primary display.

Many thanks!

Hi everyone. I appreciate everyone's help with this.  I tried other displays and still have the same issue.  I have attached another screen video I took further showing the issue.  I attempted to try again, and I had success in pasting to existing leader texts.  However, as seen in the video it seems that when there is a fraction in the leader text, the paste function does not work.  Sorry for the 1-minute-long video, but I was trying to demonstrate it working sometimes but not others.  Maybe this will help lead to a solution?  Thanks!

Hi, yes, I have not come up with a solution.  I did post another screengrab to show something that may be related to the issue in my previous reply.  Thanks!

Hi again.  I watched you video, and that's just weird.  We need to try to find a pattern to this...  In your video, the one time it did not work was when you entered a fractional value shown as diagonally stacked.  Can you test this work flow with decimal text, and also with fractional text not stacked?  Just to see if you get the same results?  Maybe we can start to narrow things down.

Hi! It seems to be related to pasting to a stacked text. I am able to reproduce it on 2025.1.2 but not on 2020.5. Something must have changed. I need to work with the project team to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!
