ipart table doesnt show in assembly

Hello

I've created an ipart to use for the iassembly, but when i insert the ipart .ipt file on assembly, the ipart table doesnt show up.. It only places the part member i have currrently activated, and if i enter the iassembly table, it doesnt show the ipart members to choose.

Another Info, i've published that ipart on the inventor library

I send attach some prints and the ipart file

Im' using inventor Professional 2019

print assembly.pngprint iassembly.pngprint ipart.png

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Your first image showing the assembly with a content center piping component..  Did you take your iPart and publish it to content center?  You indicated you published to library but not sure if your meant to content center or you're own defined library as indicated in the active project file.

If you mean content center, that's how it works.  When the iPart factory is published to content center it no longer uses the ipart anymore..  All the information from the iPart table is created under the family information of that content center part.   You will never see an Ipart table associated to a content center component.   These 2 things act in the same way but they are totally 2 different things and work differently within Inventor.

So do you to use iPart (factory) and its members (children) in your assembly or use those components as content center?

Yes i created the ipart and published to the content center...

In the assembly (first image) i tried to place the ipart .ipt file (not through content center) to create the iassembly

are you saying that when i publish an ipart to content center, i no longer can get the ipart table (since its associated to a family)? Honestly i havent tried today to create an iassembly with content center components

thanks for your short time response

Hi! Yes, Mark is right. If you publish an iPart to Content Center, the family table will be stored in the CC Library. When you place a CC part, it is just like a regular part but stored in the library path. It is no longer an iPart.

If want to leverage the iPart in an assembly (or iAssembly), you will need to generatge the member files (on placement or generate files in iPart factory). Each member is a separate ipt file with a link back to the iPart factory.

Many thanks!
