Involute Spline

I'm having a lot of trouble making an involute spline profile. The size options in Inventor seem to be limited. Does anyone have an ipart for a male and female that they wouldn't mind sharing. I downloaded one from an earlier discussion, but I don't know how accurate it is, and it won't let me input 30 deg. pressure ange. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

IV 2010 has improved on this. See related threads in the

I agree, it has improved. But take for instance the spline I'm looking to create.

DIN 5480
34.131mm pitch dia.
30deg. pressure angle
43 teeth
.79375 module
1.196/1.147 act. tooth thickness
1.247 eff. tooth thickness
.211 circ. backlash
35mm maj. dia
32.5mm min. dia.

These parameters aren't part of Inventors DIN 5480 involute spline list. So my problem is, how do I create this with Inventor.

Using the spline calculator, what you need to know is the shaft dia, so you can pick what you need.

Shaft dia = teeth/diametral pitch 2/stub pitch.

sample: 14 teeth

pitch 1/24

14/12+2/24

shaft dia 1.25

now look up 1.25-12/14

took me a while to figure it out.

next i'd print out the report the first time you do it to check what you did.

now i have a question for the other guys, in your assembles do you use the .ipt or the .iam component spline model where it reports to.(next level)?

sorry missed your spec but my info should make it easyer to get where you need to go
