This is a method of uploading drawings to the server using the Inventor Viewer cloud method.
Isn't the uploaded data vulnerable to security?
And my company has restricted drawing uploads, is there any way to use the Inventor Viewer offline?
There are several tools commonly called "Inventor Viewer" - beside the cloud viewer (in fact "Autodesk Viewer", aka LMV) there is the "Inventor View" (older viewer, local, .EXE) and "Inventor Viewer" (newer, in fact a license-less read-only Inventor, local, .EXE). Except the first one, all viewers are local, with no cloud involved. But even the cloud environment is secure, with ISO-certified security. Many workflows are much easier if you include the cloud tools and cloud environment.

Hi! For offline viewing Inventor files, there are a few choices. You can use Inventor ReadOnly (standard install in 2020 and later). Or, Inventor View (standalone viewer separate from Inventor). Or, you can export Inventor files to dwfx and view them using Autodesk Design Review.
None of above options require internet connection.
Many thanks!
