Inventor Update 2018.2.2 Doesn't Show Up In Account Management Page

I just updated Inventor to 2018.2.1, and now I see there is a 2018.2.2.

Why doesn't this update show up in the Autodesk Desktop App?

It shows up in my Autodesk Account Management page.

Hi Andrew,

This was only just published to MyAccount; there is typically a short delay before it's picked up by the Desktop App. It should show there "soon".

Thanks,
Chris

I wouldn't be so eager to get this 2.2 update, I have found it did not correctly fix an iProperties date issue.  (the only reason it was created).  If the user selects the date and presses ok, it displays properly on the textbox (field text), but if they close and reopen the iProperty box, it will display a date 1 day before.  In the 2.1, it was displaying the date 1 day before in the textbox (field text).  So they fixed it, but not really.

I have discovered a change.  This bad behavior is based on my current template file (as stored in vault).  When I save this document from a template to another file, it no longer misbehaves.  I repeated this test with a new blank; it misbehaved until I saved it.  So there must be a migration/fixing happening to the file database itself we are unaware of.  Open and re-save the templates to verify.

I saw one where they needed to reboot for the file locations to save properly ...

So you're all set?

Hi Jamie,

I am able to see the behavior on my machine. I am very sorry for the issues. We are investigating the issue right now. It seems that some dlls were not built with the proper version. We will let you know what we find out.

Many thanks!

Hi Guys,

2018.2.2 was temporarily pulled down. The update was published prematurely. If you have already installed 2018.2.2, please uninstall it. We are still working on the fix and the update will be available soon. I am very sorry for the confusion and issues.

Many thanks!

Any word yet on when this update might be available?  I can still see the update when I go to the downloads page, but I cannot see it through the desktop app or the account page.  If it has been pulled then why is it still showing in the downloads page?

Yes, unfortunately we’ve been experiencing some build/release issues for this most recent 2018 update. We hope to re-release it as 2018.2.3 by Monday.

Thanks,
Chris

@andrewdroth 2018.2.3 was released.

It should be accessible from your Account or from the Desktop App.

If you filter in Accounts then please only filter for updates to "2018"; if you also filter on "Autodesk Inventor" it won't show up.

The filter is "Inventor professional" - in other areas of Accounts though the filter still shows "Autodesk Inventor" - that one doesn't work.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if a post solves your issue or answers your question.
