Inventor unresponsive when using frame generator

Attached a screencast that shows the problem. I can still move the part around, but nothing else is responsive. This is not a "wait it out" thing, same happened last night and I left Inventor alone for hours. Nothing happened. Is this a 2018 issue or am I doing something wrong?

The issue isn't that it's not responding ....

I`ve already had the dialog box open and chosen my profile, it`s when pressing the apply button it all goes wrong, the dialog box disappears. The attached screencast shows what happens after it goes into lock down

Can you share the file?

Is it just this file, or any frame generated file?

Did you have the option to prompt for filename enabled when you placed your frame components and hit applied?  If so the prompt for filename dialog is off the screen.

ALT+SPACEBAR

M key

LEFT or RIGHT arrow key

Move mouse..  Is there a dialog now trapped to your cursor?

Hi! Have you installed 2018.3 update and  updated your graphics driver?

Many thanks!

It worked a couple of weeks back.

Yes, I was prompted for at filename on the frame when applied, hit OK and then it happened. The screencast I shared was just an example of a frame, so it`s not a stand alone case either.

Will there be any issues regarding compatibility if I upgrade to 2018.3?  I am currently working on a project and would still like to share with those still working on the first issue of 2018

2018.3 and 2018 are compatible.

I have to bump this one. Still no solution to this issue, it`s not that I get a message "autodesk inventor not responding". It doesn`t seem to even be thinking, no blue waiting circle and I can go on and use my PC as usual. All the other programs works wouthout lag, task manager show`s that it`s using minimal of the system resources. Everything looks normal, it just wont respond.

Updatet to 2018.3 and rolled back the graphics driver to when I knew it was working. Uninstalling and installing isn`t  a issue now, it`s just 1,5 week until project due and I really don`t wanna hastle with that. But I still want to make that frame, hopefully someone has a solution to it.....

Hi! Do you use dual monitors? Is it possible the dialog is in the other monitor?

Many thanks!

Yes I am using dual monitors, but the dialog boxes appears as normal and I can choose type of beam etc and go on to save frame, it`s when pressing apply and it`s suppose to generate the frame it all stops.
