Inventor to Revit

Hi Dears,

I have been tried to export from Inventor to Revit by using BIM building components work flow type -

assembly (.iam) :right_arrow: part (.ipt):right_arrow: .adsk:right_arrow: .rfa.

After successfully exported and Translation report is fine too ,

When I tried to open this .adsk file from Revit  via building components, it appears only bounding box .

Even after changing  "fine" in detail level and "wireframe"in graphic display option of Revit setting , still show the square box. Of course , after loaded family (.rfa) file into Revit project file , it shows hollow box only.

But , above exporting work flow worked successfully for some models.

Could someone help me to solve this issue ,please?

Kindly refer to attached screen shots.

Thanks in advanced.

Hello @nwe.nwe,

Could you help send us the file for more investigation via email xun.zhang@autodesk.com?

It seems a defect to me.

Thank you!

Hello @nwe.nwe ,

By checking the adsk file (re-exported from Inventor 2021) in Revit, it seems a layer case, please delete the boundary layer and everything is fine.

Hope it helps!

Hi Xun,

Thanks for ur help.

But my case is ,nothing  appears inside this bounding box .😅

Pls refer attached two images and right image is successful one.

When it was loaded into rvt project, bounding box dosen't bother.

Both are exported from Inventor 2014 and open in Revit 2019.

Thanks!
