Inventor Studio - Move Components DOES NOT WORK

Hi All,

Very new to Studio and having problem with basic things, 

I want to move selected components along the triad and triad moves by dragging the arrow but the components stay in the same place? So can not animate anything. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hi! I guess you drag the component when the timer is at the start. You need to click on the end timer and then drag the component. Otherwise, the component will just stay at the same place.

Hi I am having a similar issue with in inventor studio when trying to move components with animate components.  I don't understand your solution. could you explain a bit more please.

Can you Attach your assembly (or a dummy assembly that exhibits the same behavior)?

hi, think i found the issue.  I have my model fully constrained.  I suppressed the constraints in studio and the animate part worked. 

 

I presumed the part animate worked similar to free move. this post helped find the answer.

If you have constrained - the use Animate Constraint rather than Animate Component.
