Inventor Problems Opening New Folder

We have had this problem pop up quite a few times recently.  In the Inventor 2022.2 open dialogue box and I click the make new folder button at the top and rename it.  Then I double click on it to open it and we get a message that New Folder doesn't exist, like Inventor thinks the folder is still called New Folder.  I can open Windows Explorer and open the folder perfectly fine, but cannot in Inventor even waiting and trying multiple times.  In Inventor I have to get out of that folder, then go back into it and then the new folder opens perfectly fine.  Since I can open it with Windows Explorer the server and the folder are fine, just Inventor having a problem.  Captured a short video showing this (I had already created and renamed the folder

I created another folder and it did the same thing. Thought it would be better to capture creating a folder so I deleted that folder to start from the beginning.  After I deleted the folder, I could create a new folder and open it without any errors.  Weird that it stopped doing it when I did a delete in that folder.

Hello @phlyx,

Have you tried to refresh the screen? Using the F5 key will refresh the screen. I've had this issue but F5 seemed to work around the issue.  Maybe Autodesk will fix this in the next update.

Regards,
Ivon

Hi, thanks for the video showing this.  I haven't been able to reproduce it yet on 2022.2, are you on Windows 10 still? (just trying to narrow it down).

Hi Scott,

Is this folder located on a shared network drive? If you run Inventor as Admin, does it work better? I suspect it could be Windows User Profile related. It seems that Inventor is blocked from performing certain operation due to system-level user restrictions.

Many thanks!
