Inventor Pro 2021 Silent Install

I am attempting to silently install Inventor Pro using the following command:

.\image\Installer.exe -i deploy --offline_mode -q -o image\Collection.xml --installer_version "1.19.0.20"

It seems to install just fine as I see the folder structure and desktop icon created, but as soon as it appears to finish the install it begins to immediately uninstall the product.

I have been able to silently install AutoCAD 2020, Architecture 2022 and Revit 2021 using similar silent install commands.

Not sure what I might be doing wrong, please help.  Log files attached.

From the error in the install log it looks like the deployment isn't complete or at least if can't find the files from the English Language pack.

I double-checked and the path in the log file is an available path, see
attached screenshots.

Hi Mike,

Our project team confirms it is a known issue (DEPLOY-8179 and DTRAN-18622). The team is actively resolving the problem. Current estimate is late July and the install script will be updated. You will need to republish the deployment. The issue will be gone.

couple months now, at least I know it wasn't necessarily something I was
doing wrong.

I'm also experiencing this on 2022.  Is there a better ETA on this?  I need to deploy these to all labs within the next week or two.

I will email you, as Support was not helpful and just told me to post in the forum.  When deploying with solutions like SCCM you can't use the full path it generators by default because that path doesn't exist when you are deploying it so I have to modify the XML to make this work (Works for Revit, Autocad, Maya, etc.).  There is something else going on with Inventor to cause this issue.

Turns out the issue for me was due to Windows 256 character/path limit.  When I was distributing the content to our Distribution Point, it wasn't able to copy all of the files.  When I went to install, the installer failed because it was missing files.  I ended up using 7-zip to compress it and extract it locally and then run the installer.  This blog post helped me immensely:
