Inventor My Home 2022 vs 2023 and other discussion

1. My Home The appearance of My Home for Inventor 2022 is nicer and more practical than in version 2023. I don't like My Home in version 2023 at all.

2. language version

I use both language versions. Unable to download English language pack. The link is bad for version 2023.

In version 2022, the link works correctly

Where should I look for this functionality in version 2023?

1. Not all companies have a Vault

2. Many companies use many projects.

- They have their own project for each order.

- You could create main folders (groups, by company name), there the user could assign many projects under one company.

This is just a suggestion for others. I can handle it, I'm writing it for the others. During the 3.5 years I trained Inventor of various companies, I went through (trained) 50 groups / companies. Maybe you should visit more companies?

@dusan.naus.trz

it's not there anymore for an option...

You can just get to the new and go from there.

Hi, i know where i can change ipj project. I just don't understand changing My Home, and deleting the Projects icon with an introduction and leaving only the small icons.

All of the interfaces for most of the Autodesk software look like this now.

Look at all of the AutoCAD's etc .. their home page is like this now too.

They mentioned / said they were going to a more universal look across all software

Not my favorite, but that's why we all should give feedback and be part of the beta.

Maybe it could be something where there is a "classic mode" for the home page

Yes I am part of the feedback. And I've already put 140 cases there. Yes, I wrote that it doesn't look good. And here is the result. I'm not a beginner.

It depends on what other users write to you. I'll somehow survive. :-)))

I think for the English pack the knowledge page hasn't been published yet, so you can download the English version of it from the manage.autodesk page as shown in CG's reply here:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/where-is-inventor-2023-simplified-chinese-download-add...

For Configuring your Default Template units and such as you showed, you can go to Tools (tab) > Application Options > File > "Configure Default Template..."

I think it would be more useful to keep the look of version 2022 than to develop a new my home.
They preferred to devote energy to these UI changes.

for example

Hello Dusan,

Just so you know, there is another point of access for the Project Editor.

Home_Projects_Settings_Projects.png

Hope that helps a little.

Regards,

Bill

I added Projects to the Quick Access toolbar for even easier access:

SBix26_0-1648687207741.png

But I completely agree that this new Home is no improvement.  The projects list is not wide enough to display the full names of my projects, and there is a vast amount of wasted space in the window.  No ability to reconfigure panes as we could do in previous versions.  Definitely a step backward in the interests of harmony with other products (kind of reminds me of materials and colors back in 2012 or so).

Yes, I'm a member of the Feedback Community, and no, I didn't participate (much) in the Beta testing.  Would it have helped?  No idea.

Many thanks for you posting the feedback to us. Starting from this release language packs will not be hosted on AKN anymore, and we should get LPs from Account instead of AKN.

Thanks,

Hi, I am sorry for the confusion around language packs. In the 2023 release they are now downloaded from the account page as shown above and not from the AKN page as in previous releases.

We're working with the product team to get this menu item fixed.

Thanks
