Inventor Keyboard shortcut for right click menu?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm using Inventor 2018 on my Surface Pro 4, without a mouse (mouse free for wrist issue) and can't get the right click on the pen to work. Is there a keyboard shortcut to bring up the right click menu?

I'm trying to map it to my SpacePilot, which didn't work either.

I usually use my Wacom tablet, but Wacom drivers with .NET 4.7 makes Inventor crash.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

I do not know of an existing link to a button and right mouse click.

You might be able to do it with the API.

Here is a link that can help you get started on customizing Inventor:

Thank you and good luck.

Hi! There is a universal shortcut in Windows: Shift+F10. It will bring up any right-click context menu without having to use right-click.

Many thanks!

Hello @Anonymous,

More interested with below two problems -

"I'm trying to map it to my SpacePilot, which didn't work either.

I usually use my Wacom tablet, but Wacom drivers with .NET 4.7 makes Inventor crash."

Any more information around those two?

What command are you wanting to activate ?  If you go to customise > keyboard , you can find the short cuts

ie replace all = ctrl+Shft+H . I have this assigned to my spacepilot

Howdy,

I am also trying to do similar to what the OP mentioned...  Nerve problems and Arthur Itis makes right click menus fatiguing in drawings.  I also have a space pilot, and want to access certain right click sensitive menu items for shortcut or mapping in space pilot.

While you can use shift + F10, the result always seems to be the same - a generic set of selections that has nothing to do with what your mouse is clicked on.

Example:  I want to map RMB "add member" and "delete member" which are commands for an ordinate set of dimensions.  There's no ribbon button for this command, only RMB on an ordinate set of dimensions.

Ideally, you could hover over the item in "preselect" or left-click to highlight, and then use left hand on hotkey.  This avoids the repetitive stress of having to use RMB.

I attached a pdf with some images showing just how many different right-click menus there are - and these are just a few of many.  The image with red border is the one that contains the items I spoke of.   Of course, many of these items ARE available in the list of commands available for hotkeys or mapping....  The list is very extensive!!  But there are important repetitive RMB commands that aren't there.

Regards,
