Inventor + GearTeq - CAMNETICS ?

Hello everyone.
Has anyone in this forum ever used Camnetics GearTeq software together with Inventor to generate a pair of conical gears with spurs? If so, could you help me? Thank you.

Dear Mr.
I downloaded the trial version (10 days) of this software a few years ago, but I could not test with it.
Please, would it be possible to model these gears for me in this software, as per the attached drawing, and make it available to me in the .igs extension? I will be very grateful for your help. Thank you.IMAGEM PARA CONICO.jpg

Hello @Anonymous not sure of all the parameters you need, there are many fields that can be populated like Unit Corrections Guide and Method Strength Calculation.

 

From the drawing you supplied it looks close if you just need a shape.

Dear Mr. Kelly.
Many thanks for your help, but I need this pair to be drawn on GearTeq to get the exact and real profile of the tooth.
Inventor does not generate this actual profile for conical spur gears as I have researched. Just simplified. It only does this for cylindrical grinding through the tool "Export Tooth Shape".
My ultimate goal is to cut my teeth as you link the movie on youtube on a 3-axis CNC machine. Thank you.

@Anonymous I thought that might be what you're going for. You are right in that you can export the tooth shape and draw it manually if you like but I'm not sure all the exact numbers you need. 

 

Hopefully someone can get your going with the GearTeq, don't have that software for you.

I hope our friend pineapple.law1972 helps me, but he has not yet informed if he can generate these gears in the GearTeq program he owns. I'm looking forward to the pineapple's response.
Please pineapple help me there.

Hi,

 

I am not able to help you with GearTeq .... I want only to confirm you are right: only spur gear is accurate enough, worm and bevel gear use simplification.

Some how I didn't get a notice from this post.

I'll put some string and let you know.

 

If you generate the gear in Inventor, you can export teeth profile to get a more accurate profile in dwg.

 

Are you 3D printing the gears?  Metal?  Plastic?

You can print Inventor gears in plastic and they'll work.

You using Inventor design accelerator, it does NOT provide this profile export tool for cutting in the case of conical gears.
I will go from this assembly file to .igs, send to a software that converts into CNC machine language, and sculpt the teeth of these gears in AISI 1045 steel. See the final goal in the movie below.

I need the set in the .igs extension.

Its Parasolid file inside a zip file.

Can't upload anything beside zip file.

Also when I export to IGS, there is nothing in the file when I import it again.

Inventor can open Parasolid.  You can modify it in Inventor.
