INVENTOR FILES IN CURA

Hi i have just updated my Cura software to the latest 4.4 version and now am unable to load inoventor models into it. The Inventor plug in looks to not be updated for the latest version of cura, However i am pretty certain it was possible to pull ipt. models throuh without this in earlier generations. anyone one having similar issues, or know where i am going wrong?

I've tried it with Cura 4.3.0. This version only opens files up to Inventor 2019.

Which Inventor version did you test?

You seem to need a plugin.. The Inventor plugin doesn't seem to be compatible with 4.4 either so you can't install from marketplace (for me anyways) And yes 4.3 doesn't seem to support 2020 files either..

Play on the bleeding edge.. Expect to get cut 😎

im running Inventor 2020... strange how Cura 4.2 and INventor 2020 worked seamsley but now so many issues!

What is my best course of action to be able to print still? I.E. what format should i export files to? is there one better that others?

Ahhh i see, i am having the same issue with the marketplace, the plugin is just greyed out.... i didnt know about the issues with 4.3 as i went from 4.2 to 4.4.  What would you recomend? back dating to CURA 4.2 or exporting files to a CURA freindly format? is 4.4 even worth it really?

I think, you can workaround with STL exports out of Inventor. It's standard for 3D printing; only disadvantage is the intermediate file instead of direct transfer from IV to Cura.

I'm new to the 3D printing scene, so i downloaded the latest Cura (not sure which version) and have been using STL export from Inventor without issues so far.
(haven't made anything complex though...)

This was my assumption but i thught it was worth checking. lets just hope they release an update of the PLug in soon!
