Hello. Just looking for instructions on how to change units when dimensioning in the Autodesk Inventor drawing file. This information is only posted for assemblies and parts as far as I can find. Any help is appreciated... Thanks!

When you are creating a dimension in the drawing environment, the dim style is controlled by the standard. This controls how the default dims will be created. In the annotate tab > format panel "by standard" drop down, you will see other formats available as well.

By standard is the standard set by the object default. All styles are controlled in the Manage tab > Styles and standards panel > Styles Editor. This controls all aspects of your drawings. And object defaults control what is set when the command is active.

Hope that helps.

Hi! Inventor drawing is Standard and Style driven. However, as a new user, the quickest way to change drawing unit is to obtain a desirable drawing template. Go to Tools -> App Options -> File -> Configure Default Template.

If you want to change the unit in an existing drawing, go to Manage -> Standards and Styles -> Styles Editor -> activate a desirable standard or create a custom standard.

Many thanks!
