Inventor Crashes When Opening a .ipn File

I posted the topic "Inventor Crashes Whenever I Add a Constraint to a Specific Assembly File". I resolved the problem by suppressing the parts that I created with the "Tubes and Pipes" module. This work-around worked.

Now however, when I open a .ipn file that I created with that same assembly, it crashes. I can no longer access that .ipn file because it crashes everything I open it however, the file is still saved on my computer. Anyone have any ideas how to solve this issue?

Thank you very much!

No need to write in big print..  Smiley LOL

Most likely if its crashing every time you open the IPN file, the file itself is corrupted.

Are you seeing the standard crash report or nothing happens when it crashes?

I do receive the crash report.

P.S Sorry about the large print. As you can tell, I'm pretty new to these forums.

Thanks to the great help of Mark, I have found a workaround solution.

For some reason, the .ipn file opens when at least one component is not resolved in the component tree (i.e the file cannot be located by Inventor.) A workaround then, would be to put a component that is not needed and also not in Library of the project into the assembly. When opening the assembly, make sure to "skip" the file instead of locating it, even though you know where it is. The .ipn file will then open in an unresolved format but, all the components that you need will be there.

Thanks Mark for your amazing help! I really appreciate it!
