Hello everyone out there
I would really like some help with a problem. How can I get Inventor to summarize the number of items to be produced so that it is calculated into my BOM.
An example:
I have created a chair in Inventor, which of course consists of many parts.
But since my production must produce 50 chairs, how do I get inventor to summarize the number of individual parts to be produced in my BOM?
Hope there is someone who can help
With best regards

I think that is a shortcomming of Inventor.

A drawing BOM only shows what is in the model.

Hi @sbuELP44

Method1:

Place the chair into another assembly call it "Assembly Order 1" and pattern x 50. You now have BOM/PartsList for 50.

Method2:

Export the BOM or partslist to excel  and manually calculate total part qtys

Method 3:

Use ilogic to add column, multiply the partslist qty and store the qty in the partslist or seperate table.

Method 4:

Use ilogic to export BOM/ Partslist to excel and auto calculate part qty.
