Inventor Auto Balloon Cannot Place After Selecting View

Hi,

 

Please see the attached Image.

 

I need to place an auto balloon, after selecting the view and parts only, placement and style still I couldn't place the Balloon.  

 

Please guide where is the mistake

Hi Kirk,

Have you made the auto-balloon in other sheet with other views, please remove them firstly.

Hi Xun,

 

There is no other auto balloon in this drawing. This is the only one.

Hello @lkirit2000 I think you were maybe missing selecting the Select Placement button and choosing on screen?

 

 

If there is already an Auto Balloon for a part it won't let you select it again, but don't think that is what was going on from the image supplied. Hope that helps.

The same thing happened to me, the .ipn file was the same even though it was in a different tab, so it didn't allow me.

So I duplicate the .ipn and replace it and that's it.

The "select placement" button is inactive. Exactly like in the picture. How should I solve this? This is my only balloon.

You have to Select Components first, then you will be able to Select Placement
