Hi! Your English is fine. Please do not worry about it. You did not do anything wrong. The threaded hole by nature has to be a bit smaller than the drill diameter so that the thread can be made. If you are on more recent release like Inventor 2017 or later, you can check the option to ignore such interference in Interference Analysis dialog.

Many thanks!

Hello @Anonymous I see that you are visiting as a new member to the Inventor Forum.
Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

It looks like a fairly simple assembly, would you be able to attach your parts with Pack & Go for community experts to comment on further? What version of Inventor are you using?

Here is a good link that might help you out:

Thanks for your help and compliment. And i will attach all of my parts will Part and Go. But by a way, i'm just a newbie, and have so much things to learn. ...
And I use Inventor 2016, and it's Student vesion.
By a way, thanks for your help again.

Hi! Is there a reason you have to keep using Inventor 2016? If you are entitled to free student license, you should have access to more recent releases like 2018 or 2019. Could you download it and try? They can be installed side-by-side with any existing releases.

Many thanks!

Hi,

I also have a problem with thread interference.

The issue is that, when I assemble nuts and bolts then it creates an interference of thread which is kind of assembly mistakes.

if I then try to open the same file in another version of inventor package, it shows thread interference mistakes and does not open the whole design file, It first remove mistakes which are nuts and bolts then open other parts.

I wonder how can I resolve nuts and bolts thread intervention issue and enable the file to be opened in another version of inventor package without mistakes ??

Many thanks,

Engin

Hi Engin,

Could you tell me what release of Inventor you are using? I thought we added an option in Interference Analysis dialog to ignore Nuts/Bolts interference on Inventor 2017.

Many thanks!

Hi,

I am currently using Inventor 2020.

I initially created a design in Inventor 2019 and it was showing interference in Inventor 2019 but it was OK. Afterwards, when I tried to opened the same file in Inventor 2020 it was showing mistake and was asking to skip the mistakes. When I accept to skip the mistakes, then it removes all nuts and bolds connections….

I am surprised that inventor package do not recognize its own created nuts and bolts connection and does not create a appropriate assembly without interference.

If there is an option for the thread interference that would be good please let me know.

Thanks for help.

Engin

Hi Engin,

The behavior you described sounds like a bug to me. The option to remove the bolt/threaded hole interference option in Interference Analysis should work on 2020. If possible, please share example files exhibiting the behavior.

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

Thank you for the giving the information.

I did not understand what you ment by saying "behaviour sounds like a bug".

Is it something that I made a mistake or is it something from the inventor software.

Please see my screen shot at below.

Thanks again.

Hi! This sounds like your project was not set up properly. The missing parts reside in E:\ drive, which is not part of the searchable paths in the project. Do you have a custom project or you keep using the default project?

I believe this should be solvable by simply adding the particular path to Library. Close all files -> Get Started -> Project -> Library.

Many thanks!

Hi Johnso,

I have solved the issue by doing pack and go saving.

But I also saved the file in C drive

Thanks for responding
