Inventor 2023 - Bug BOM Sorting

Since I migrated to Inventor 2023 I have this problem.

I keep updated to Inventor 2023.1.1 release.

Every time I open the BOM menu the secondary and third sort filters is fixed as the last column of the BOM.

If I set it up with Nothing, the sort filter remains in Nothing.

But if I set it up with other column, the sort filter allways applies the last column of the BOM.

Someone with the same problem?

Could someone solve the problem?

Hi! Yes, this is a known issue, reported as INVGEN-62446. Essentially, sorting multiple Custom iProperties in the BOM dialog is broken. This is a regression from Inventor 2022. The current status shows the fix targets 2023.3 update (too late for 2023.2 update unfortunately. I will work with the project team to see if it can get fixed sooner.

Many thanks!

@johnsonshiue Thank you for the info.

Let me say that I used the latest version of 2022 until now and never saw this problem.

This is not your business, but let me say something:

I think that this kind of bugs should be a priority for Inventor developers and is unacceptable that could be fixed in two releases.

It supposes that when we upgrade to a new release we should have upgrades, no downgrades. We are paying a lot of money for this software!

Hi! I think this particular bug go into 2022 updates also. You may want to uninstall the update to revert the behavior for now. This is absolutely wrong that a defect like this slips through the crack. It should not have happened in the first place. I am very sorry.

Many thanks!

If you are a developer you should know that when you migrate files to 2023 and all the configuration files, libraries, etc. You cannot return to previous version...
