not happy with the changes to 2023 Assembly BOM item number sequence, go back to the 2021 version.
When in anssembly, Bill of Material, I need to sequence the item numbers. when I do they all trun blue. then I do the renumber and my numbers are sequenced with out respect to my selections. I need to skip numbers and organize the bill. the old way was easier.
Sorry if I'm missing something here, but I think instead of "renumber" you simply want to sort your BoM by your new manually added item number? To do this click on the BoM row header. I have shown this below...
Before sort. (Item shown in blue as it is overtyped)
BoM after sort, by clicking BoM row header
As you can see items remain blue as per the numbers you manually assigned them.
