Hi!

In the vault 2018 I could save file seperately outside Vault. Now it seems that option is sort of disabled.

On save new file I get dialog box that  allows only folders from Vault.

Is there a way to disable that function?

Do you mean the warning "The selected location is not in the active project"?

You can still save it anywhere, you will not be able to check it into Vault.

If you want a folder outside of vault then you can map it as a library, not really how you should be working though.

No. What I mean is that on save file i get that :

In the folder option I can only save to folders exsisting in Vault. I cannot also create any new which is quite limiting.

I usually do not save the first iteration in Vault.

I see, that is the data standards form.

You can just go and disable it from your add-in Manager. You would have selected this when you installed Vault.
