Inventor 2022 content center does not respect multiple dimension formats

If a structural shape is set to inches, it will not respect an architectural format length on placement. It will simply cancel the content center placement, until the length is entered in inches. The has changed since 2021, when you could enter any dimension format and it would recognize/respect that format.

Hi Richard,

The behavior does not sound right to me. I will work with the project team to understand it better.

Many thanks!

Hello,

Just verified, it is possible to specify steel shape length with the units respect in R 2022.1.

Do you mean this workflow?

Not. You cannot input content center units as architectural format. However, after a member is placed, the replace member from content center will respect only inches format, only feet format, bot not architectural feet-inches format

Pushing this back to the top, since the issue is still present in 2023. I thought this was going to be (re) fixed, so it worked the way it did pre-2022.

Hello,

I see your post as legitimate request since the Extrude command / sketch dimension / Hole command (diameter) supports architectural formal. That's why I created record in our issues tracking system,  INVGEN-66614

Great, thank you for the INVGEN reference, now, how do I check status on its progress, since I was told two versions ago it was slated for a bug swat in 2023.?

Hi! I just checked the defect status for INVGEN-66614. It remains unresolved and the fix currently is targeting 2023.3 update.
