Hi,
I'm trying to use the bolted connection component generator using the "follow pattern" option.
When using an inventor part containing a hole feature, it works perfectly fine.
When using an inventor assembly converted to a weldment where the holes are converted to a machining feature, the generator will not recognize the sketch.
Anyone here knows if this is an inventor limitation or if it's something I'm doing wrong.

Hello Martin,
The follow pattern is only alloiw to follow pattern feature within a specific parts other than assembly feature which is means you have to create the hole pattern in the part level rather than assembly level. It is not related with machining feature here.
Try with a normal assembly and create assembly hole, you will not albe to make the follow pattern bolted connection either.
So, please open that part, make a pattern feature in that part and go back to the assembly to make the bolted connection.
