Inventor 2018, assembly constraints

Hi Inventor lovers,

If you left click a constraint in the browser normally a little input box appears right beside the constraint.

We got one installation where no input box appears.

Any ideas what the reason for this could be?

@RainerLeonhardt

What level is your Inventor 2018 at?  Meaning what hot fixes or mid-year release has been applied?

If someone else opens this assembly (on their machine), does it work?

If someone else logs onto this machine and opens the assembly, does it work properly?

Just wondering if its an Inventor/User profile issue.

Hi Rainer,

Is it on a secondary monitor? I cannot seem to reproduce it on my machine. Does it happen on all machines or some machines?

Many thanks!

Hi,

it is on the main screen and it happens only on one machine.

Thanks

Hi Rainer,

One option you might look into. Go to browser and click on the upper right corner for settings -> Edit Value in Browser. Is it checked or not? If it is checked, a little inputbox should show up in the browser when you click on an assembly constraint.

Many thanks!

Hi Rainer,

Many thanks for your confirmation! Although it works, the option does not seem to be easily discoverable. I will work with the project team and see how we can improve it further.

Thanks again!
