Hello a.pichl,
Could you please try followings?
1. Check if you are using a certified graphics card and driver with the following site.
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/certified-graphics-hardware
2. If the user doesn't yet apply the latest service pack/update then please apply.
3. Reset Inventor setting with the reset utility from here.
Please send error report if above won't help.
Thanks.
the 3 possible hints did not bring me to the final solution.
attached I post the Error-window which appears after "export as dwg"
--> "Unable to load AcDb recource file."
kelly.young has embedded your image for clarity.
can anyone send me the two dll-files:
acdb16.dll
acdb17enures.dll
And where should they be placed...?
Hi! When it crashes, did you send crash report? If yes, could you send me an email (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com)? I would like to take a look at the report and understand the crash better.
Would you be able to share an example here?
Many thanks!
@Anonymous,
Does this crash happen with any file, or just one specific .idw file?
The acdbxx.dll and acdbxxenures.dll are paired files. If one is missing then it's a sign there is problem with your installation. Trying to use these two files from two different releases (16 vs 17 from your request) will cause even more problems than you are currently experiencing.
If you can provide us with a way to reproduce this then we will figure out what the proper solution is to prevent this from happening in the future.
Hello a.pichl,
These files seems to be in the following folder if you have installed ACAD product.
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AcDwgFilter
But please don't do anything in the folder since we are not sure other Autodesk product you have installed will be affected by editing the folder.
Thanks,
Hi Andreas,
The crash you are seeing seems to be due to an install issue. For whatever reason, acdb21.dll, a critical component for translating dwg file is missing on your system. Do you remember how Inventor was installed? Was it deployed by the system admin or it was installed manually? In the meantime, you can run a Repair Install to get back the acdb21.dll. Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> find Autodesk Inventor Pro 2017 -> right-click -> Uninstall/Change -> Repair Install.
Please let me know if it works for you.
Thanks again!
The final solution was a new installation - now it works
Thx to all helpers!!
