Inventor 2013 vault button missing

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

I'm using Inventor 2013 SP2 up6 with Vault 2013 SP1 up1 and I have an issue with Vault buttons.

I did look at everything on the web about this and the problem is not the addins (see attachment).

I did uninstall and reinstall...

My connection with the Vault is good and the Vault is working fine.

Can someone help?

Thanks

Andre

Check your active Inventor project...  It sounds like its not set to a Vault project type.

For some "unknown" reason, sometimes Inventor will go back to the "Default.ipj" which is not a vault enabled project.

Another give-away is that in the model browser drop-down, you do not have Vault there either.

Chekc your .ipj file (Get Started >Projects).

Thank you all for your fast answer but my project file is correct, it is a vault project and it is active correctly.
And for mdavis22569, I can not do "Open from Vault", the button is greyd out. But I can do "Check in / Check out" from the vault.
I think it is Inventor that got the issue. May be i'll have to reinstall it.

Let's try something else...

Are you up to date on all the patches for BOTH of them?

What about ...signing out of both ...

Sign back in both Inventor Vault and Vault in it's own program.

Deleting the IPJ and getting it again from the Vault

Still nothing?

Yea, that is weird.  For some reason the Vault add-in is not getting loaded in Inventor.

An easy thing to try is to change to a non-vault project, Close inventor, then reopen Inventor and open a part.  Close Inventor, then reopen it and switch back to the Vault ipj.

If that does not do it, then I would create a new Vault enabled ipj just for a test.  Dont just copy the one you have and rename it, but actually create a new one from Projects >New command.

Back to the screen cap that you show in your first post... Is this with the hidden items shown in the Add-In Manager?

Select the EDM Add-in.  What is the path to this file that is shown at the bottom of the screen?

If it something other than "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2015\Bin\Connectivity.InventorAddin.EdmAddin.dll", then its the wrong one and thats whats blocking it from loading.

If you are using Vault 2013, then that is probably correct.

Right-click in an open area of the add-in manager to show the hidden items.  Then click on the Available Add-Ins column header to sort it.  Do you see two of the EDM Addins like this?  If you do, then unload the one that says "mscoree.dll"

Thank you all, but nothing of those suggestions is working. I changed PC and reinstall Inventor. Now it is working fine.
