Instance Property read only

Hello all.

In Bill of material panel, for some library part I cannot be able to switch from Custom iProperty to Instance Property, say read only. why?

Usually a Library part is read-only file, so you cannot change/save the file.
Copy the file for a non Library folder and replace it in the assembly. Now it is a "normal" file, and you can do changes and save the changes.

for most library parts its working, only few experience this behaviour!

All that parts are in the same folder?

So, file is checked out by someone else and is unavailable for edit in the library itself., so that it went read only

Yes ,in the library directory. Part is checkout by someone so it went read only

Every Library file (in a folder Library): and if that folder is set in project file as a library folder, should be read only by definition...

we restrict the network drive access to ready only for general user to access library parts. We are controlling like that.
