incorrect radial section view : section particpation none

Hi,

Please go through attachment,

The section view behaves strangely with the ‘section participation: none’ components

Invertor2012 sp2

Win7 x64

Sachin

Sachin,

I respectfully disagree.  If this is a true section then the nut should be hatched and showing a shorter width on the left side with out seeing the hex and showing a through hole.

Is this nut model created by you or is it from the content center?

It is common practice to have fasteners and shafts NOT sectioned in a section view like this.

I haven't tried to reproduce this issue, but Inventor has functionality that is supposed to handle this common practice.

Yes, that is true.  But I have had the issue where the CC parts do not section in which case I edit the view

and select this.  Then it shows the hatching fine.

No, this doesn’t solve my problem and neither the replies are the solution for me.

Please get it correct

1. I don’t want shown nut to be sectioned.

2. Consider section AOA ie AA is section line and O is intermediate point; when section AA placed it overlaps the non sectioned components from both segments of same section line ie from AO as well as OA

Kindly note I am using Inventor from Inventor 6 and till now continuously using it.

Before posting this thread i roughly searched the forum as well as gone through updates and hot fixes

Thank you

Sachin.

If you are using Inventor 2006 I can't speak to that version.  I started using it in 2011.

The only other thing I can suggest would be to play with the display settings of that view under

the "Edit View" command to see if that gives you better results.

It really doesn't do you any good to post the files seeing the vast majority of users here are well past that version.
