Impossible to vary a dimension in a position representation

Hello the Community,

I have this problem that prevents me from letting the assemblies move freely.

When option "Use offset as home position" is checked, it's impossible to vary a dimension in a position representation.

So I have to check  this option, but this prohibits movements in complex assemblies.

Is there any way to allow this option ?

You can use the assy as is without needing to have the reps if you want to see it move in an upper level assembly. If you place the component into an upper level assembly then mark is as "flexible", any open DOF will be available. You can then make Reps at the upper level assy and the flexible component will move for documenting purposes.

Or simply just make a POS Reps of Closed/Mid/Max of your original file and utilize those at the next level.  Just a couple different ways to approach it.

Please see the quick attached video to help clarify

Hi! Please share the files here. It should work as a long as the dimension does not change any body geometry or sketch geometry. Positional Reps only does not allow the shape to be changed. But the position of a given component can change.

Many thanks!
