Import Kicad 3D PCB into assembly

So for the life of me, I can't figure out how to import a 3D render of a circuit board designed in KiCad to Inventor/Fusion360. Has anyone managed to do this successfully? I only managed to import the drill files but I want the entire PCB render as show in the one pic to be imported into and Inventor assembly for product design. Please advise

I would use a 3d CAD format like .igs or .stp.

Per the Kicad help file, the program can export .stp files.  See: http://kicad-pcb.org/help/file-formats/

Does that work?
