IMPORT .DWG FILE TO INVENTOR MESSES UP SCALE

Hello,

I have .dwg file where the dimensions are in inches and i imported it into inventor where the dimensions are in inches as well. In the .dwg file i measure a line and it was 9.16 in , but in inventor after importing it was 3.145 in.

How can i fix that?

Can you Attach *.dwg file here that exhibits this behavior?

That is not the same *.dwg file that you attached here.

Dimstyles can be changed to read anything.

When you alter the problem - you confuse the issue.

Why did you alter the problem.

You stated Measure?

The scale is 1.0 for both by the way.

This would be so much easier and more efficient if you would simply Attach the correct *.dwg file here before you altered it by deleting the dimensions that you showed in your image that you are relying on.

Note that the image you Attached in your latest post has a scale factor of 80 applied to the dimensions.

(And I assume this is for metric representation of dimensions (but not the correct technique) not even shown in your previous image.)

Attach the correct un-altered dwg file here and end all doubt.

The file that shows the dimensions that you are relying on as factual.

I already fixed the scale to 1.0 and the problem is still there.

What problem?

There is no problem?

The geometry is what it is.

You have still not Attach the correct *.dwg file here?

Why are you ignoring repeated requests to attach the file with the information that you are relying on?

Oh wait a minute, you are carrying on two different discussions.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/dwg-2d-to-inventor-3d/m-p/8649685#M736398

To avoid confusion you should keep a discussion within a single thread rather than starting new threads.

I have found the issue and will post video when it is done compiling.

Turns out that this was a simple case of someone not understanding how to use AutoCAD and manually overriding dimensions.

I could have solved this in about 30 seconds if the correct *.dwg displaying the incorrect dimensions had been attached in the initial post.
