This is probably a easy fix but is there a method to change it to where it pulls a diameter instead of a radius when annotating a drawing i have checked all in the style manager.

Hi Dustin,

Let me clarify your request a bit. Are you trying to create diameter dimension on an arc? Or, you want to see "dual dimension" line? Inventor drawing dimension commands recognize diameter for a full circle and radius for an arc by default. But, this has nothing to do with dimension line display.

To enable dual dimension lines, go to Manage -> Styles and Standard Editor -> Dimension -> select the active dimension style -> Options -> Diameter Dimensions -> Dual Dimension Line. Is this what you were looking for?

Many thanks!

Hi Dustin,

Could you try changing the Diameter Dimension to Dual Dimension Line like I described earlier? Does it work for you?

Many thanks!

Hi

Yes, easy fix.

Have a look at application options, drawing settings.

"Dimension Type Preferences"

You can make this process much easier and not force all this guessing if you simply post the ipt file and even the idw so its clear what the intention/feature is..

Just how you modeled the part could be the reason its not doing a diameter..

Please post the ipt and drawing file..
