Icons in Assembly History tree

Hello again,

I am wondering about the dots and icons in the history tree of my little assembly.

Is there a paper that explains the meaning of full black dot, minus sign,  circle etc?

My parts are fully constrained in the degrees of freedom analysis but the symbols dots etc are not the same.

I am wondering what they mean. Thank you all!

Hi! Please go to Tools -> App options -> Assembly -> check "Enable redundant relationship analysis."

Many thanks!

Hi,

Apologize for bring up something to a old post. Unfortunately I can't find this Display of Constraint Status in the Browser. Please check the attached picture. Appreciate if anybody can provide me a solution for this. Besides, the function doesn't even enable by default in the software.

Hi! I believe the option you are looking for is in the Doc Settings. Open the iam file and go to Tools -> Doc Settings -> Modeling -> check "Show Constraint State in Browser." Also go to Tools -> App Options -> Assembly -> check "Enable redundant relationship analysis." After that, do Manage -> Rebuild All. The black/white dots will appear. This setting is per iam file. If it is desirable, you will need to do it for all existing iam file and the iam template files.

Many thanks!

Hi,

Thank you so much for the respond. But unfortunately that kind of setting is not available when i go to Tools -> Doc Settings -> Modeling and Tools -> App Options -> Assembly. Please check the following screenshots. The iam file has been already opened in the background.   I'm using Inventor 2021.3 version.

Hi! You are on Inventor 2021. The option is enabled on 2022 and later.

Many thanks!
