iAssembly Table Replace modifies sub-iAssembly

Hello,

I'm trying to build an iAssembly (standard sight glass connection on a pressure vessel) which is built up out of sub-iAssemblies (ball valve, gaskets, stud bolt and a sight glass, which are all released to a library/Vault).

In the table of the main-iAssembly I use the 'Table Replace' to set the correct members of the sub-iAssemblies .

But for some reason it is then required to save one of the sub-iAssembly, otherwise the members of the main-iAssembly can't be generated.

So when i do save the main/sub-iAssemblies, Vault will indicate that specific sub-iAssembly is now modified locally.

Does anybody has an idea to where to look for the issue?

With kind regards,

Hi! When you are building an iAssembly, I suggest you check out all related files (iAssembly factory/member files and iPart factory/member files). It is because when iAssembly member needs to be updated, Inventor deletes the old member file and create a new one. Vault could be confused by this operation. It is better keeping all files editable. Finish authoring and generate all member files. Then check them back in.

Many thanks!
