I can only use the split tool on the first member of an ipart

When I use the split tool within an ipart it only works for the first member. If I try to use it on another member it suppresses it right away. If I unsuppress it in the browser it automatically unsupresses the first member of the ipart. Changing the suppressions in the table doesn't work either. No problems with any other tools, only split.

Works fine here.. I can create splits that apply to all members without issue

You aren't in "Edit member scope" are you?

Can you post an example along with a detailed description of how to reproduce this issue ?

It works for me up to a certain point. As soon as I reach about 6 members and about 20 features or so it stops working and it creates some weird kind of link to the first member and feature. I tried to toggle between factory and member scope and it doesn't make a difference.

I was mistaken about it working with simple iparts. It is creating some kind of association to the first member and unsuppressing the split feature automatically unsuppresses the first member as well. It works as it should on the first member but when that is suppressed and I try to use it on another member it suppresses right away.

Hi! I believe the Edit Scope is set to Member. You would like to have it in Factory Scope. Go to Manage -> select Edit Factory Scope. After that, all edit applies to the entire factory (all members).

The edit scope is set to factory. I have tried every other modify tool and they all work as they should, split is the only one that does not. Any other suggestions?

I have attached a simple part. The splits work fine as long as the first extrusion is computing in the table. As soon as I suppress that extrusion the splits all suppress regardless of the table or referencing any geometry from the first extrusion. None of the other modify tools I use are affected by the first extrusion.

Hi! Many thanks for sharing the part! I see the behavior now. I think this has something to do with the feature and sketch dependency. Right-click on Split8 -> Relationship. You will see it depends on quite a few prior features. When these features (the parents) are suppressed, Split8 (the child) is suppressed as a result.

To fix the behavior, you will need to create Split8 independent of the suppressed features.

Thanks for the reply! I didn't realize I could view the relationships of a feature. I see the relationship now between extrusion 1 and split 7. Now I am wondering why it was created. The extrusion was suppressed when the split was created just like all the other features but none of them have a relationship with the first extrusion. No matter what I do that relationship is always created with the first extrusion. Is there a way to break it after it is created or a different way to create a split without it being related to the first extrusion?
