How to remove a copied part (unassociate)

Hello

I have copied in another part (a branch connection) to my main part (header pipe).

I needed to do this in order to project its geometry onto the header pipe and extrude (remove) space for it to fit in.

How do I now remove the copied part and keep the geometry of the extrusion (unassociate)?

Thanks, djfinn80

Bring it in as a surface body rather than a solid body and then simpy hide the surface body.

If you want to break the associativity then right click and Break Link on the derived. (I think I would suppress rather than break though.)

or

If you don't want to back up to do it correctly - simply use the Delete Face command with the Lump option or the Delete in the Direct editing tools if running 2015.
