How to remove a component yellow origin dot in assembly

Dear,
I am a user of Autodesk inventor (2017) and am troubled with the yellow origin point of each seperate component displaying in all of my assemblies. How can I remove these dots (see screenshot below)?

This is important for me, so that I can show updates of my designs to my collegue's.

Thank you in advance!

Best,
Robin

view>object visibility>uncheck 2D sketches

They'll be right back next time you open the assembly though.

I've been looking for a way to permanently hide workplanes and sketches myself. Haven't been successful unfortunately.

View>Object Visibility>Origin Points.

I have never experienced the behavior of setting, saving, closing and then on re-opening revert to visible.

I have the latest Update installed.

I think (don't quote me) that if you do not create a View Rep for these changes to visibility to be saved to, they will return when the assembly is reopened.  The default View Rep is locked, so changes made to that will not be saved.  Create a new view rep and save it with a name you will recognize, then change the visibility settings and save the assembly.

@cbenner The Master view rep is locked, the Default (if there is one) is a normal (unlocked) view rep.

@cbenner

And here's what I see in Inventor 2019, using out-of-the-box Standard.iam template:

New Assembly View Rep.png

This has been my experience as far back as I can remember...  Why do you suppose there's a difference?

@SBix26  Best guess is either someone added that to your standard template file, or stripped it out of mine.... and on or both of us has been using the same template file for years, because (like you) I remember it being this way for a as far back as I can remember.

In either case, the original poster's concern is that he/she will have to use or create an unlocked View Rep in order to set this visibility and have it remain in place.  (emphasis added for the sake of original question).

What do you see when you open the parts individually?  Are the origin points visible?  If so, turn off the visibility in the parts.  If not, then turn them off in the assembly as the others have written.

This works just fine!
Unfortunately it is not a permanent 'uncheck', but this helps me!

Thanks!

Hi, in View > Object Visibility, un-select "2D sketches".

It doesn't work for me

None of these tips worked for me. I just want to get rid of the visibility of the yellow dot, however , unchecking "2D sketches" just hides the sketch without hiding the yellow dot. Unchecking "Origin Points" does nothing.
