How to mirror component with constraints

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

Im wondering if anyone can help as to how to mirror the endcap in the screen shot to the other 3 exposed uprights, to fit on the top aswell as the bottom.

I can mirror them no problem however the constraints dissapear when mirrored. Ive heard about creating a pattern but im not quite sure that it will help...

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

Cheers.

Why mirror it ....

just pattern it

put one on the bottom of the same extrusion ..and pattern them both together instead

Hi!

Are you doing it with "Frame Generator" or manually?

Accepted solution

From the picture you posted ...

Pick the item like you did ...then go the square

Capture 1.PNG

then you will get a new box ..and you will pick the edges for the direction you want the pattern, you can put in the distance and how many ..

Capture 3.PNG

How many are they?

6? 8?... Just constrain them manually and stop your problems with mirrors and patterns with "flying parts" 🙂

It will take few minutes... and you will have a more robust assembly.
