how to insert company logo onto drawing in Inventor?

I would like to add our company logo to a drawing that I've made in Inventor.

How do I do that?

and depending on your company logo many people convert the logo to just text and lines,etc... to avoid issues associated with images..

As touched on above, I would always sketch the logo as geometry. Sometimes this is easier in autocad and then copy paste into inventor. Use hatch to fill in colours.

Images just look naff and you end up with link issues and other things.

Since when has it become a problem? Here is just one sample to look at. I got some other TBs I have done over the years too.

This is ridiculously difficult. Why can't I just paste an image? It
should be a 2-second operation.

That's what it takes, really. Well, maybe 10 to 15 seconds. See the attached image.

Cheers,

Igor.

It is, just click embed when you insert the image or it won't be there when you send it to other people.

This is one of the issues you can have.

Another is using a crap quality image in the first place.

Also seen white background images on slightly yellow paper.

It's just piece of mind to have a geometry based one instead, although gradients can be hard to achieve and it can slightly increase file size.

I created a drawing in Inventor. I hit "sketch". The entire "insert" tab,
which includes "image", is ghosted.

You don't want to sketch, you need to edit the titleblock and put it in there.

Putting it in the titleblock or border ensures it's position and visibility, any sketches put in a drawing the way you are doing it will not show when it used as a template.

Also, when you insert the image, make sure 'link' is not ticked, this will embed it.
