How to fix dimension lines?

Capture.PNG  In color red I marked the parts where dimension line doesn't quite touch the point it should. Is there a way to fix this, other than "cheating" and picking a different point that is a bit higher on the drawing?

Another thing I dislike are these extensions I marked in blue. Can I delete those?

Thanks

How long have you ben doing engineering drawings and/or CAD? You SHOULD know that there IS NOTHING wrong with this dimensioning.

I would STRONGLY suggest that you lookup the relevant drawing standards for your country.

About the extension I do know they are fine but sometimes I would like to make them shorter. And about the problem I marked in red, I don't  know if it is allowed but I do know we never did that in college nor anyone mentioned it so I just assumed this is wrong.

Go to your manage tab, click on the styles editor, change your current dimension style or create a new one,

and change the settings A: extension to 0 and B: Origin offset to a value you want say 2

I recommend that you sue the college for malpractice.

What standard are you using?  ANSI/ASME? ISO?

What book did you use in college?

Did you keep your book for reference?

Do you own a Machinery's Handbook?
