How to fill edges in organic shapes ?

I have been trying to fill this edge (shown in the video) and came up with approach to remove the line connecting the two lofted surfaces. Is it somehow possible or is there any other way to fill the edge ?

Hi Martin,

Instead of picking faces individually,  you should select "Quilt" option and pick the surface body as a whole. Are these faces individual surfaces? If they are, you need to stitch them into a quilt. Then thicken it as a whole.

Or, you can consider convert it to Freeform to have smoother intersection (Freeform -> Convert; Merge Edges).
