Hello team,

I need to create circular pattern of a particular feature and then delete that feature, however if i do so, the dependent features (circular pattern) also gets deleted.

Please let me know how to retain the circular pattern while getting rid of the original feature.

Hi,you can try to create the original feature as a new solid, then circular pattern this solid and choose to create new solids, finally hide the solid of the original feature.

Right-click the patterned component in the Model Browser and click "Suppress" to hide the one you no longer want. Just make sure your position for that original one is not where you need one to exist (you might have to do some parametric modelling to get the next one in the pattern to be in the right place).

I tried doing that, but it does not allow me to hide the individual solid rather the entire pattern.

Hi! With the slight tweak, chenj's workflow will work. Yes, you can pattern the feature as a solid body so that it does not merge with the main body. After that, simply use Delete Face -> Lump selection to remove the original "body" that creates the circular pattern.

Many thanks!
