How to Create twisted Extrusion?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello there,

I want to create a "twisted" extrusion. I'm having trouble in explaining what I mean exactly with that so please see the attachments.

I have both files aviable but the first one is imported from a .stp format so I cant access the properties. I tried creating twisted planes, project a 3D Sketch with include geometry but I'm not able to make it work.

Any help would be much appreciated. I have no idea how to do that.

Looks really nice, it also works somehow.

But when I have a slightly different form the spline lines don't exactly match the model (top view.png). In this case the tangend constraint doesn't work that well I think.

I tried using different constraints but I'm not able to make it work.

How can I set the splines to match the model?

Please see the attachments for further info

Hi Jake,

Can you use sheet metal module to get it done? Please see the attached.

Cheers,

Igor.
